For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 (NIV)

As I prepared for my first voters meeting in my new role, I could not help but be a little afraid and apprehensive. Most of the anxiety came from doing something new for the first time...from that little bit of unknown and uncertainty that creeps in when you get out of your comfort zone. But being surrounded by my wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ, why would I ever even worry?

Teresa Nickle reminded me that I was with my "forever family" and it was OK to make mistakes. Jeff Reinhard shared his amazing talent as a mentor, reminding me I am not alone. Many others has kind and reassuring words. All of this just reaffirms the amazing God-filled love that St. John's members share with one another!

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)

I pray that I can allow God to work through me in my duties. I pray the Holy Spirit would fill me so that I could help others in their times of doubt and fear.

Bless our St. John's Family...now and FOREVER!
